JBL Blue Foam 50x50x2.5cm - Large Grain (10 ppi)

The large 10 ppi particle size quickly removes turbidity in freshwater and saltwater aquariums and pond filters
The JBL foam plate in 50x50x2.5cm is a neutral filter material for retaining large particles present in a freshwater or saltwater aquarium.
The large mesh filter foam provides long-lasting biological filtration.

Easy to use:
Cut a piece of foam 1 to 2 mm larger than the filter cross-section and place it in the filter at the last filtration level. Avoid gaps between the inner wall and the filter.
This fine-pored foam is for use as a pre-filtration or long-term filtration media.

Coarse filtration:
The grain width allows large particles such as floating algae, leaves or excess food to be removed from the water in record time.

Safe to use:
Neutral foam that does not release any harmful substances into the aquarium. Open pores obtained by a special high-pressure process.

Foam quality:
Foams used in the presence of live animals must be strictly tested, as most synthetic materials release problematic plasticizers into the water. All plastics used by JBL have undergone this test and do NOT release any harmful substances into the water.

Cleaning plastics:
For many months, it is sufficient to rinse the dirty filter foams under lukewarm running water and then inoculate them with filter bacteria before restarting (JBL FilterStart).
However, since mechanical cleaning NEVER allows for complete cleaning and dirt remains in the foam, it is recommended to replace the foams approximately every 6 months.
