JBL ProAquaTest pH 6.0-7.6

JBL PRO AQUATEST pH is an easy-to-use colorimetric test for regular monitoring of the pH value in freshwater or saltwater aquariums and ponds.
In its JBL 2410300 reference, ProAquaTest pH 6.0-7.6 allows approximately 80 measurements to be taken.
The water in a community aquarium should have a neutral pH, but depending on the fish kept the pH may need to be more acidic or basic.

What is pH?
pH, or hydrogen potential, represents the concentration of hydrogen ions in water. pH ranges from 0 to 14:
• Water is acidic if the pH is between 0 and 6,
• Water is basic if the pH is between 8 and 14,
• Around 7, the pH is neutral.

Why test pH?
Maintaining the correct pH as consistently as possible is an important condition for the well-being of the aquarium or pond occupants, as well as for the healthy growth of aquatic plants. On the other hand, many substances dissolved in water are subject to pH-related changes. It is particularly recommended to avoid pH fluctuations.

When to use JBL ProAquaTest pH?
In case of green algae problems or plants not growing well.

Contents JBL ProAquaTest pH 6.0-7.6:
• 1 complete kit with a pH 5.0-7.6 reagent
• 2 glass test tubes
• 1 syringe
• 1 color chart.
• Contents for approx. 80 measures.

Recommended pH level:
• Freshwater Aquarium (Community): 6.5-7.5
• Malawi-Tanganyika Aquarium: 7.8-9.2
• Planted aquarium with few fish (aquascaping): 6.0-7.0
• Seawater aquarium: 7.9-8.5
• Basins: 7.5-8.5
