HANNA INSTRUMENTS HI782 Mini Nitrates Photometer HR (Wide Range)

The Hanna Instruments HI782 is a Checker HC mini-photometer that measures nitrates in seawater from 4 to 75 mg/L with an accuracy of ± 0.25 mg/L.
The HI782 Nitrates Checker HC Mini Photometer comes with 2 measuring cuvettes and caps, reagents for 25 nitrate tests, 25 filter papers, 1 filter holder, 1 mixing bottle with cap, 1 5 mL syringe with tip, 1 10 mL syringe, 1 1 mL graduated syringe, 1 plastic filling pipette, 1 16 gauge blunt needle and battery.

Why measure nitrate concentrations in aquariums?
Nitrates are produced from fish waste and food scraps. They strongly promote algae blooms and growth and cause stress to fish at relatively high concentrations.
The optimal content should be less than 10 mg/L and above 50 mg/L, it is recommended to partially replace the water with low-nitrate tap water (also to be measured before addition!)
